Fluticasone is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It functions by blocking the release of substances in the body that cause symptoms of allergy. This medication is used to treat sneezing, itchy or runny nose, or other symptoms caused by hay fever, rhinitis, or allergies. In adults, it is used to treat nasal polyps. On the other hand, this drug is not to be used to treat symptoms that are caused by the common cold.

This medication works best if used at regular intervals. It can be safely used daily. However, do not use this more often than directed by your doctor. After using this daily for allergies for at least 6 months, consult with your doctor before using it for a longer time.
